Outside with Owen

Owen loves to be outside, no matter how hot it is, while I'd rather be soaking up the AC inside! Needless to say he wins again - so we broke out the bubble lawnmower he got from his aunt Kie-Kie, he'd stop mowing just long enough to try and catch a bubble and then back to mowing! His newest achievement is climbing on anything within reach, so up and down and up and down the steps we'd go! He gives a smile just before he quickly snatches up a dead bug to taste! (never fear, mommy to the rescue!) And last but not least, a stroll around the neighborhood to cool off in his little red wagon, equipped to seat 2 (any takers?) - don't forget to bring your patriotic pinwheel and bright orange boat whistle!

Father's Day Play

No real reason for this photo...just thought it was a cute one to post...we took mel to bass pro shop in Katie, Texas this past father's day...he shopped for boat stuff while me and owen played around in the kid section.

Rockport Vacation

We took a quick vacation to Rockport during the 4th of July holiday and stayed at the Kontiki beach resort. Owen fell in love with a little kiddie seat they had at the condo and kept climbing up and down on it...the last pic is him as we pulled out of the resort to head home - his vacation left him pooped out!

Owen is One!

Here are some pics from our 'private' at home birthday celebration with just me, mel and owen on his actual birthdate, which was Wed., June 27th...and some pics of his birthday party we had for him a few days later on Saturday. He had a blast splashin' around in the pools and marching around with the pinwheels!
